Building in the Booming West!

Stephen Mildred and Erin Grainger from the LCA Vic/Tas District office were thrilled to visit the newly opened Good News Lutheran College – Hope Campus, at Mambourin, 38km south-west of Melbourne. The campus is brand new and surrounded by pristine estate-built houses and terraces that are being added to daily. Within sight of the housing construction young kids are playing – putting together their own buildings in giant Lego.

There isn’t a public bus here yet, but kid’s bikes are lined up in stands and the Campus is open and caring for the primary aged children, with great education and Christian-focused engagement. Stephen and Erin met with a passionate group of leaders to talk about how the District can support the wonderful endeavours to care pastorally for the community in this rapidly growing region.

Please pray for local leaders, support and leadership staff, and the 20 or so teachers working in this area, as they build relationships and contribute to the faith growth of the children and their families.
