Jesus was born to bring freedom

Santa ‘knows when you’ve been naughty or nice’ – so the song goes.

If you’re nice, he’ll bring you gifts, if you’re naughty he may not.

People also think this way about God’s gift of life forever with him.

We may think we have been ‘nice’ enough to earn this gift; or we may fear we have been too ‘naughty.’

The good news is that God doesn’t leave us wondering!

He reminds us that none of us is -or can be – good enough to earn his gifts.

If we were, then Jesus didn’t need to come.

But he did come! Born as a human, he lived the perfect life we can’t live, died to take the penalty for human sin, and rose again to free us from it.

God invites you to trust in Jesus and live in the freedom of knowing that he declares you perfectly ‘nice’ – not because you have been good enough, but because of what he has done for you.
