15-Year Anniversary for Darren & Kerry Linke

On Saturday 12 September, staff and family gathered to recognise over 15 years of service to Lutheran camps by Darren and Kerry Linke. With the help of some clever coordination by their children Samuel, Brook and Zali, the group gathered for a surprise dinner near Araluen Lutheran Camp, where Darren and Kerry have served for the past eight years.

Over their years of service, Darren and Kerry have hosted close to 1,065 camps for around 65,750 campers. The sensibility and pride both Darren and Kerry bring to their work and mission have been invaluable to the LCAVD, and we have been blessed to receive their service for nearly 16 years now.

We congratulate Darren and Kerry, and their family Samuel, Brooke, Zali and Hudson on this significant milestone. Thank you to Araluen Assistant Manager Kym Schilling, and his wife Vicky Schilling, for their efforts in organising the surprise celebration.

There is a running joke about the size and quality of serviettes and the above picture shows a fulsome 2ply being worn by all.
