Pastoral Care & Governance

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us… If it is in leadership, let us govern diligently. (Romans 12:6,8)

The District provides various offices and councils charged with particular pastoral care and governance roles. The District President is a pastor of the church responsible for the spiritual leadership of the District, and for the general oversight of its congregations, pastors, lay workers, councils and other church bodies. A District Vice President is elected to act as his deputy when needed. A District Administrator is appointed to see to the procedural and financial affairs of the District. District Church Council is elected to ensure that the church’s programs and policies are satisfactorily carried out, and to govern between conventions of the District. The peak body of the District is its synodical convention which meets every two years. It is guided in matters of doctrine and confession by the pastors meeting in conference beforehand.
